This attractive hotel has been offering excellent accommodation since its construction in 1733, when it appeared as a rustic, timber-framed inn.
Our guest rooms are predominantly non-smoking. They have been renovated and are now cosily furnished, offering peaceful lodgings facing an inner courtyard.
Discover Goslar, the one thousand-year-old imperial town in the Harz region. From the Imperial Palace, you gain an impressive view of the town with its 5 large parish churches. The Old Town is characterised by cobblestoned alleyways and timber-framed buildings. Since 1992, it has been a UNESCO world cultural heritage site, as has the mine atop the 600-metre high mountain Rammelsberg, which is today a museum.
The climatic health resort of Hahnenklee, a district within Goslar, offers a broad network of hiking trails. A cable car takes you to the 727-metre high mountain Bocksberg, which offers a magnificent view of the Harz region. In the winter, skiing, cross-country skiing, toboganning and ice sports are possible here.
A trip to the Harz National Park is incomplete without a visit to the 1,141-metre high Brocken, whether by foot (from Torfhaus, 20 kilometres away) or by light gauge railway (from Wernigerode, 30 kilometres away).
